 Question about food

Ok I know that locally caught insects aren’t good because there’s a good bet that they are contaminated with insecticides/herbacides, but what if you breed the caught insects, do you think that would get rid of the contaminates? I was just thinking I have grasshoppers all around me, but all the local pet stores, within 40-50 miles, don’t carry grasshoppers, seems a waste that I would have so many in my area and not be able to use them. Just wondering.

 Question about food

the choice is up to you but look at it this way what if your WD lived in the wild it would have to eat it and I’m not shore if the insect pass down there contaminations

 Question about food

Live Grasshoppers are illegal to sell in the US, just feed them the wild ones you catch. I don’t think you have to worry about the pesticides/chemicals too much. Grasshoppers are very good for your WD and wild ones have better nutrients than any raised ones will have.
