That is a safe plant to use. Just make sure you rinse all the potting mix off and thoroughly wash the plant as well as the pot to remove pesticides, herbecides and bugs and their larvae. I would personally wait 30 days before including it into my enclosure. I know here at our home depot they use fertilizers to maintain their plants. So your plant may still containg some of the effects of that chemical. Make sure to repot in a plain potting soil of which does not contain any fertilizers or perlite or vermiculite.

yea i repotted it and put it in a bigger pot, and re potted it with peat moss, just to make sure that there were no ferelitezilers(sp?) in it. i also rinsed off the entire plant and the leaves cause there was some weird film on the leaves.
i wont wait 30 days but i will wait about a week, jcause thats when i will have the new enclosure built.
thanx for your quick response tojuco.

 Live plant question

I have a schefflera, this plant IS on the toxic list with a toxicity rating of 2,4. Below is the description of the ratings.
I figured I would see if it bothers them because its a real cool tree.
If in doubt or wanna play it safe stick with Dracaena plants their all fine, I’m using a Dracaena Corn Tree now.

Toxicity Ratings: 1-5:

1. Major Toxicity: These plants may cause serious illness or death. If ingested, immediately call the Poison Control Center or your doctor.

2. Minor Toxicity: Ingestion of these plants may cause minor illnesses such as vomiting or diarrhea. If ingested, call the Poison Control Center or your doctor.

3. Oxalates: The juice or sap of these plants contains oxalate crystals. These needle-shaped crystals can irritate the skin, mouth, tongue, and throat, resulting in throat swelling, breathing difficulties, burning pain, and stomach upset. Call the Poison Control Center or your doctor if any of these symptoms appear following ingestion of plants.

4. Dermatitis: The juice, sap, or thorns of these plants may cause a skin rash or irritation. Wash the affected area of skin with soap and water as soon as possible after contact. The rashes may be very serious and painful. Call the Poison Control Center or your doctor if symptoms appear following contact with the plants .

5. Animal toxicity: Pets, especially cats and dogs, frequently ingest plants. If a plant is known to be hazardous to humans, it will probably be toxic for animals as well.
