With some species (much with fasciata), inter-breeding and pattern variation can cause a lot of confusion, so the best most of us can do is identify the snake based on the predominant characteristics. For example, I have a pair of Gulf Salt Marsh(s) mixed with fasciata. They have some characteristics of a Banded but are predominantly GSM. The belly is the identifier! Michael |
