 Best way to get earthworms

Hey everyone just looking for a some help. I’d like to get some earthworms in my timor monitor’s cage but I’m havin a hard time digging em up around here. The soil around my house is more like a whitish/greyish sand than a soil. I’ve dug up around plants and trees and seem to find none. Is there any way to get em to surface besides just dumping water all over the place? Also is there maybe a website to buy em in bulk at? There are no bait and tackle places close to the house to get em at or I would have already.

yea see I dug a whole about 4 and a half feet deep and saw 0 worms. Did it in 5 different spots too, all I wound up with was holes to refill and no worms.

wormman; wiggler worm ranch, etc. Basically you can get around 1000 for $10 (add another $10s/h.) I wonder why people breed crickets; seems like earthworms would be easier. I may put them in the fridge but for now just get some from the bait shop and pay around 10c ea.
