 How do you look after worms?

hey my names taylor i got 2 dogs 2 cats 11 fish coldwater though!
umm 1 tortoise 1 hamster.
and i wanted to know if i was to get worms how do i lok after them?

If they are earthworms I raised them for fishing like when I was 7 so it is not hard I used a baby pool but you can use something smaller like a bucket mak sure the soil stays damp not wet mist it every once in a while like 4 times a week and put old veggies in the soil and make sure they thing you put them in has air holes.and A LOT of people keep insects as pets it is not a big deal they are very interesting so do not listen to what some fill in word here has to say.

I raised Earthworms when I was 7 years old like I said above(for fishing) and just keep them in a container WITH air holes and MOIST NOT WET soil and put old scrap veggies in the "worm bucket"(lol) and they pretty much take care of themselves.Take care and here is a care sheet WORM CARE SHEET.

jal91, i looked it up and it isnt illegal to go out in my back yard and just take a couple or something like that.
ummm breeding them ummmmi dont know, mainly to just keep about 3 or 4 as pets...if they breed then they breed nothing i can do.

but ive only ever kept 1 before an let it go because we didnt know what to do so it went back to the back yard.

Geckogirlemi...that was umm a cool post there.

anyway...i found out that earthworms eat grass, plants (garden weeds and most garden shrubs/plants such as pansies and grassy things)
so im planning on getting a small glass tank..with out a lid so they have fresh air...the soil i shall soak once every 2 days...i am gunna pull some weeds with roots fromt he garden buy some pansies and garden grasses and shrubs..and plant them in the soil in the tank...the soil will cover about half of the tank..so they have loadsa diggin and burrowing space im planning on keepin 3 or 4 worms :D

anyway...i collect all kinds of pets.
rodents,insects,reptiles(notmany) other.
but worms ive only kept once.
and wanted to try agen.
OK it might seem freaky and stupid and probly unusual...but its summut
i WANT to do and dont care what others think So BLAh lol.
anyway...ive found out...
that here in bulkington...its not illeagal to take eny insect or worm from your garden as long as its looked aftered.
^^ so i might find a couple.
they eat all weeds,grass,most garden plants such as pansies,bleeding heart..and grassy ferns.
And for me to keep one in a tank i would need:
have a 2 to 3 foot tank..fill it just under half with Potting compost or Garden soil....and plant at least 6 to 10 plants...in there not big plants just medium sized.
for the worm(s) to have a roomy and natrual like habitat.
and i dont need to clean them out:D

Hey cpx. I ussually just stick to the snake forums but i was browsing today and couldn’t believe it when i read this. I thought i was the only other person that kept worms as pets. or at least used to. anyway, u can keep them in regular potting soil and if u want a more nutricious diet for them cut up an apple into thin slices and place 2-3 of them on top of the soil. they will them and just change the old ones with new ones every few days. hope that helps you a bit
