 Mealies

is it okay if i put aroung 10 mealies into a tupware container and let them sit there for breeding? or will they suffocate?

 Mealies

Mealworms have actually been known to suffocate more easily than most animals. If the container has no lid, or a screen/mesh lid they will be fine. Also, it takes about a full year until the life cycle is complete, so if you start now it will be about a year before you have another generation of full grown larva. I would suggest starting out with 100-200 and not feeding out of the colony. I made the mistake of feeding out of the colony, and am down from 700 to about 200 after a few months.

I hope this helps,
john

It will prolly work, but it would be better if the seran wrap was off..They cant climb the plastic, if thats what you are worried about. Just make sure the container is deep enough.
