Does this sound okay??
Hi, I have mealworms, and I’m not trying to have my own colony, I’m just keeping them so I don’t have to keep buying them, you know, keeping them until I feed them to my herps as treats.I give them potato and apple cores to keep them hydrated. I have them in a large container, with oatmeal as bedding, with some cereal mixed in with it (wheat chex). A couple of TP rolls and a crumpled up peice of paper for them to crawl around on. Will they start to become adults and lay eggs?? I can deal with a a large population, but does the setup sound okay for me to just keep them alive, until they’re fed as treats.

Sound alright, we havea simplier way, if you are interested. Corn meal bedding, toilet paper roles, and sliced potatoes. Just remember that when the potatoes become old, they will attract white, microscopic bugs to the container. Happy feeding.
