Release him in a local pond or such away from populated areas if possible....They dont make good pets unless you can care for them full grown...yes babies are easy to care for but full grown adults are very hard and are more for the more knowledgable

Dont try keeping him just release him...he could of been looking for more water holes

That is cool... I live in Fort Worth and would love to have one of those. But it is probably best to do like you did and call the game warden.

This is not only illigal but probably one of the worst situations that the gator could be in. There is a pretty thorough population of gators in south-east Texas. The population gets thicker the further east you go, Lousiana and Florida are almost overtaken by Amer. Alligators. American Alligators are not locale to the Ft. Worth/Dallas area, I lived there for a time, not nearly as many large bodys of water than in south-east Texas. The climate is drier up there and not fit for Gators.

Just my two cents.

i live in dallas and this is MY OPINION Dallas doesn’t care weither you have an alligator or not all thwy care about is how much money they make, i would know i have my dogs off leash all the time when i got into myfrond yard, cop after cop after cop comes by and doesn’t care.

to sum this up

Dallas Doesn’t Care! DDC!

i agree with releasing it back into the wild, but try to put it in an alligator shelter

Releasing that animal back into the wild would be a HORRIBLE idea. And I have never heard of an "alligator shelter" but most animal shelters won’t except gators, specially if they already have a few. Alligators are a ton of hard work and you have to be on your toes 24/7 working with them. Too much work and risks for all those old ladies working at the animal shelter..

Gators are in dallas... Especially in Lake Lewissvlille. I’ve acually seen one and many have been reported killed by boaters and people on the shore. I would personally never touched it. I would have left it alone. So try to think about what is best for the animal... Sorry if any of this was already mentioned
