SURVEY: what would you do if you got bit by a gator. I dont use any kind of gloves with my monitor anymore but when I did I had no grip problems, that monitor tamed very fast, by tame I dont mean carefree to handle, I mean calm, cool, and relaxed unless you scare it. I have a real fast dwarf caiman now and its young, its not a mean caiman, its more of a scared caiman that is more defensive than offensive, I am fully aware that he could nail me with those razor sharp infant teeth, what ever methods work best for the individual keeper is good as long as the reptile is ok, I wear soft traction grip gloves over the mesh metal gloves for two reasons, so the reptile doesnt get hurt and so I dont have to try to convince a docter that my dog did this to me lol Thats not the kind of attention you want to have, people should also watch thier faces cuz those things can leap pretty high when you try to touch them and nobody wants a scare on thier face. But yeah, I’m not the one to argue over someones methods and I am not an expert or a breeder either, I would consider myself cautious and intermediate, but yeah, whatever works for you, Even with gloves the point is not to get bitten but if you do the right kind of gloves can stop the skin from tearing or being cut but your right, you might still feel the pain and pressure from the bite. I’m not saying its impossible to break through the metal mesh, I’m sure a bigger croc/gator could probly break threw and twist your hand or arm off regardless of the protection. Peace.......

SURVEY: what would you do if you got bit by a gator.
I have seen like 4 alligators once while i was camping with my family and friends. My cousin who is around 11 tried to get it out of the water but of course i pulled her away after about 30 min. of trying to get it out.Later that nigh an alligator slept by or tent my brother was so scared we were all asleep by then in the morning we found out and told him not to cry if that happened again (so he wouldnt wake the croc) See my dad would of killed it but if my brother got bit i would definitely tell him to pull it off but not with to much force then his leg might brake.

SURVEY: what would you do if you got bit by a gator. Personally, I would choose B: go to the hospital and have it removed.
First of all, it’s against the law where I’m from to kill an alligator, and I wouldn’t want to anyway because if it bit me it would probably be my fault. Alligators, as far as I am aware, don’t usually go after humans for food (unless food is extremely scarce). That’s not to say that they never do, but if I was bit it would probably be a result of me intruding on a mother gator’s nest and not taking the hint when she hissed at me or wandering in an alligator’s territory (pond, shoreline, etcetera) where it would instinctively react in an aggressive manner.
Secondly, having been a few alligator attacks relatively close to where I live, I’ve learned that infections alone caused by bacteria (that alligators have) can be deadly (and usually are). Therefore, I think my best chance would be immediately going to the hospital where the wound can be properly tended to rather than me simply ripping the alligator from me, killing it, and possibly either wasting precious time or making my wound worse.
Although I have to admit I might try and free myself from the alligator’s hold just as a reaction, i mean, I’m being bit by a 3 foot alligator... that’s more than half my size!
