Your choice is your choice, period. That being said, I think you need to get your facts strait. All of your reasos have been proved wrong, and honestly I think your not in the position to argue, what so ever. Go ahaead and be a vegitarian, it is fine with me, and i respect that choice, just dont go giving false info or go correcting otheres when it is not your placee to do so.

OK...i found this post and couldn’t resist to put in my little opinion(facts). Its fine if you wanna be a vegetarian but NEVER criticize someone for eating meat. Here’s the part that i am trying to understand. It is "wrong", immoral, or something of the like for humans to eat meat, however, what do you feed your frogs or other pets. If you own a dog, did you ever give him a nice bowl of lettuce and carrots. I’m fairly sure that you gave him a diet containing meat. So, does that make it bad for other animals to eat meat to. When a cheetah attacks, kills, and devours a gazelle...is that not cruel too? Crazed activists who make stupid comments are rather annoying. Why is it that out closest relatives(chimps) seem to eat a nice omnivorous diet too....is that bad also. Just wondering???

i agree that eating animals is mean but it is necessary. without hunting deer would be over populated and die a slow painful death i much rather be shot than sit there and starve. plus meat is good. but my number one reason is because most people who are vegetarions do it stupidly. they won’t drink milk or eat eggs because it comes from animals but they will eat fish, where’s the logic in that? isn’t the point of being vegetarion not to kill animals? either way as long as the animals are treated well and hapy when they are alive does it matter what happens to the body when they die?

Umm hello, ever hear of such a thing called over population????? If we dont eat meat that is exactly what will happen!!!!! think of all those deer, cows, rabbbits, geese, ducks...that will be over populated because there is not one controlling it. God put enough meat on this planet for us to eat and guess what, that is exactly what I am going to do, EAT MEAT!!!!

i stopped eating meat for moral and health reasons 15 yrs ago (i’m 37). i immediately dropped 10lbs. since you guys don’t know me, i will go ahead and brag for the cause! i’m 5’4", was 120, dropped down to 110 with no effort on my part. since i replaced my diet with veggies (please note i DO eat shellfish- shrimp, crabmeat, scallops, clams, some fish, NO lobster, don’tlike crayfish) and seafood i really don’t excercise other than some yoga and i have to say.... does a body good! i’m almost 38 and all the time people think i’m in my 20’s. your skin glows better due to more vitamens, retains elasticity better, and even after 3 young children i still have the body of a 25 yr old. except the boobs. had to get some work done there!!! anyway, point is, it is a healthier lifestyle no argument. now if there are any fat vegetarians i have yet to see one or hear of one :-). maybe they eat too many potato chips? if anyone out there has considered, it’s hard at first but over time you grow to love the diet/food, and you no longer crave the meat. red meat and pork actually repulse me! almost as bad as for someone who is accustomed to eating meat, to eat it raw, or eat the skin from another human! gross! thanks for reading.. love my box turtles, mountain horned lizards and zillion other pets!!!

i said/meant moral reasons FOR ME :-)
i don’t preach to my friends. they see how active and energetic etc i am, i believe it for the amount of veggies i’ve replaced my meat intake with over the yrs. we shouldn’t criticize others, but it is an enlightenment when you take this route. and it is NOT true re overpopulation re if there were no meat eaters. reproduction dies down. it is a cruel thing re predators etc, but that is nature as it is. i feed my dogs dog food but give them a large amount of cooked beggies lets just say they’re never constipated. my large breed rottie lived 3 yrs past the normal time range. my jack russell is also in the long stretch past the point of estimated natural death still acting like a 5 yr old. anyway coolguy i did respond to your email to me, hope you got it ok. i said for moral reasons to me b/c i live in a rich country where i can eat healthy and not have to use my money to support the commercialized butcher of the higher order animals/mammals that feel pain, stress, etc like we do. i don’t buy leather, try ti be conscientious of animal biproducts etc. will say that people that make comments like... the one eating the bloody veal, although i know you said it for shock effect, studies show people who choose to not eat meat (vegans, omni vegetarians, pescatarians etc) have higher iq’s than normal just thought you could chew on that for a bit instead. i believe that we’re simply more compassionate and stand up more for what we believe in than most who accept life as it has been set up for us. i could go on and on..

Oh and for the religious people in the very bible it says that u can use the skin of the animal as clothing and to eat it as well.
