Hello!

Yes, new people need to know NOT to purchase this light. Hopefully soon, Frances will put her data on her UK website but she is busy with testing. I am sure that the UK lighting data report for 2008 that will be out in early 2009 will include this particular light. I can’t wait!

Yes, this light is made by Exo-terra.

I have another question. I’m still having a hard time finding the repti glo 8 or the repti sun 10 for my beardie. I have checked out a couple of websites that were recommended to buy from and the shipping charges are ridiculous. (I’m in Ontario, Canada) Can anyone else recommend where I can find these bulbs.

I am still using the reptiglo 10 bulb, because I haven’t found anything else. Should I turn it off and just use the heat lamp until I find another or leave it on for small periods of time, a little confused here.

Hi Jen, have you tried Reptile supply.com? Thats where i get my MVB’s but they do have the light you are looking for there and the shipping is not that bad. They do still have some harmful lights there though, which makes me angry!!

I would def turn off that light in there as it may cause more damage to your dragon. If it’s warm there try to get him outside in the sun...Nancy.

Hi Nancy, I’m gonna look into that website. I can’t believe how hard it is to try and find these lightbulbs. I tried calling all the petstore where I live and they only carry the repliglo 5.0 and the 10.0.

As for taking Camo out in the sunlight, that’s a big no as it’s been pretty cold out the past few days. Yesterday in dipped as far down as -7 with the windchill. I’ll freeze him to death if I do that.

Good news!!! I just happen to find some ReptiGlo 8.0 bulbs threw petsandponds.com , and the shipping is not to bad, actually better than everyone else. So I should have one hopefully within the next week, (keeping my fingers crossed).

Well, I will finally be getting my new repti sun 10.0 tomorrow. I just got my delivery confirmation and can’t wait. Camo has been mising his light and since the weather been crazy here, I haven’t taken him outside. It’s coming from a store called Pets and Ponds in Orillia.

thanx for the bump YOSHI.....i shoulda knew something was up with that petstore(PETLAND) that damn lady was tellin me to get calcisand....and i was tellin her hell no...and she was just suggesting a shitload of things i aint need...she calls herself the so-called "lizard lady"...she gave me that damn bulb...talkin bout "THEY NEED THIS"...

this is the 3 bulbs she told me to purchase

exo-terra SUN GLO 100w (thats for basking)

exo-terra REPTIGLO 10.0 13w UVB compact (no longer using)

zoo med red night light reptic bulb 60w (put on at nite)

ALL suggestions needed ASAP!

Hey, yeah Petland is pretty awful. I’m glad you found this site. I would only use the night light if your tank gets below 65 degrees. In case you didn’t see it already, lllreptile.com has great prices on their UVB’s.

oh....the tank doesnt get under 65.....it’s summer time(NY)..so i shouldnt use the night light???? it’s a red bulb...looks good at night....keeps the temp in the 80s tho....what u think?????

Yip no light at night- they need to shut down and relax at night- only if the temps get below 20celsius- (is that about 65 Farhenheit?) then you can switch on a ceramix heat lamp at night - i have a 75w ceramic on at night at the mo (winter down here south in Africa)
