Non-toxic potted plants are always a really good way to help retain humidity. I even wrap 2 sides of my cages during winter when it’s so dry, and use a cool-air humidifier. The more foliage the better! Yeah, if his eyes are crusty, then it’s certainly not good. He really needs a vet visit and fast. Poor thing - I feel so bad for him :(
