I have some great news, ok for one, my webcam is working and i can put some pics up and listen what happened. When i got back from Muskoka i checked on the eggs and one was open and goo everywhere so i thought that id investigate it today, and then i see a baby, perfectly formed and it has its skin, and its colour, its greenish grayish, check it out. I dont know how this happened tho but oh well, this just means that the eggs will hatch very soon. Sorry for the blurry pic, it was from my webcam.

Jess just stop checking them each time you open that box they can sense the light change and will not want to come out to play after all they would not see daylight until they dig themselves out . just check once in the morn then once before bed the less you disturb them the better IMO .Anyway people after the 5 that popped out i have had non since until today when one more popped out .Did have a slight problem yesterday with my temps my habistat temp control went bust but hopefully not to much damage done( fixed now )Temp reading was way to high only for a couple of hours .But may have been wot they were waiting for as a few more have decided to make an appearance but not quite out off the egg so will just wait on them to decide when the time is right to go for a walk in their knew world.

Heyy Alan, havnt talked to u in a while. Alright i wont check em every often daily, ill use your advice and once in the morning and once at night, sounds good. Im sure you havnt damaged any eggs, that wont do anything, thell be fine. Do i open the lids because sometimes i cant see the eggs because of the humidity that goes to the top of the lids, would i be able to open the lids once in the morning and once at night??

If non look like piping then i don’t look the next morning .Boothy from now on this is my work well this and my reptile collection as i am going to see if i can make a living breeding i know i can make some money at it but have taken a year of working for someone else to give it a go .

OH MY GOD!! YEEAAYYEEE!! LETS GET CRUNK!! I got some awesome news everyone, the first one hatched!! I just finished wiping the vercumlite off his body very gently and now hes all clean, mann im soo happy!! We also have another coming on the way riight now!! Its climbing out of its egg and its doing good. Well man im so happy, this is what ive been waiting for and finally after 10 months, some are finally hatching, the one is in a small critter keeper and im going to keep put 5 babies in there and once more than 6 are hatched then im going to move them in a large exo terra tank and keep all of the babies in there, man im so happy right now!! I have a few questions right now though. It seems that the baby thats in the critter keeper is a good colour changer, he turned completly purple/red, literally, (its a male), so why is this?? I put in some pinhead crickets, will the baby chameleons be really hungry once they hatch?? And one of the eggs have egg liquid coming out of it, is this good or bad?? Oh and the first baby that hatched and thats in the critter keeper right now is pretty much my first baby i ever hatched out of any reptile and i want to keep him, is there any way i can mark him off with something so i dont forget that its him, i dont want to seperate him from the other babies either, can u tell me anything that wont be bad for him or toxic for him so i can mark him off from the others?? And last question, how long should i keep the baby in the container with the other eggs after it hatches?? Well these are my questions, and man im so freakin excited, get back to me soon Boothy or anyone, Peace!!

Ok i also have another question, added to my other post, the new baby just hatched and its still conected to the yolk sak so its carrying its egg around everywhere its going, hes moving everywhere around with the egg, i heard that the chameleon will absorb it?? Can i have some definete answers. Also answer the other questions too that are on my other post.

Hey jesse congrats man!!! , when they hatch if they are moving around good you can just put them in the tank they are gona grow up in and if they are kinda being slow move them to a moist container with paper towel thats been misted and leave them there for a half day or so , but when they hatch they have that egg sack so they wont eat for the first day or two until its fully absorbed, and yes jesse most veild chameleons that hatch are a red or dark colour , i personally think when the air fully dries them out they change to that lime green colour so he might look like that for a few days and then they will change to a lime green colour for you , i havent heard of anything you can put on a cham to mark them so if i was you if you wana keep that one then your gona have to split him up into his own enclosure, and for the eggs with the liquid coming out its either sweating or it has burst and has gona bad but dont through it out until you know that there is no baby in it but if i missed anything just say so and ill try to answer it my best man but ill ttyl jesse peace man

Hey thanks for the replies, ok for now on i will have to be going on the computers at the school because my computer literally got caught on fire on the inside of the monitor, lol, dont ask me how. So far i have 2 babies in good shape and they are both doing terrific, the one i told you that was conected to the egg has now gotten rid of the egg and he just has to absorb the yolk and he’ll be good, hes doing great with the other baby right now, what my plan is: that im going to have a maximum of 5 babies in the critter keeper and then when more than 5 babies hatch then i will all move them into an exo terra tall tank and put them all in there. And yea i guess im just going to seperate that baby from the others, thatll be good. So then they will eat after they absorb the yolk?? Get back to me and ill see you tomorow. For now on im going to be using the school computers for now on until i buy a new computer which wont be for a while, maybe in a couple of months though because after i sell the chameleons then i am going to be using that money to buy a new computer, i know about 10 people that already want a baby chameleon, cool eh, well peace out, cya tomorow.

Hey congrats Jesse hope they all hatch soon you have waited long enough.Still waiting on 19 of my own to hatch after 232 days getting a little fed up if the truth be told and a little concerned as she is about to lay her 6Th load, as for keeping them in the little critter keeper i would advise against this just put them right into the E Terra tank . (reasons) As baby,s they like to hide from view most of the time and explore there surroundings get used to wot is basically there domain firstly they got stressed out by your big hand picking them up from the inc then placed in a box, secondly just after they get used to where they are you again will have to stress them out once more then shock horror their house has suddenly got huge (more stress go back to hiding most of the time due to stress ).This is only my thoughts on this and other people might disagree but the less stress at this age the better for the baby,s . Sure it makes it hard to see them but all the more fun (how many can you count )is a thing between the mad wife and myself at the moment.
Again congrats on your new arrivals. And must apologies for being a grumpy guy again but hey you have come a long way from when you first started all this 10 pages or so back .

Hey Alan, yea ill move them into the exo terra, and i should get the lighting that i use for my adults right. Ok well my plan is to put them all into the exo terra tank and only keep the first baby into the critter keeper because i want to keep his and the others seperate. Wow 6th clutch eh for you, im waiting for my 3rd this month or next month for sure. And yea thanks, man im so excited, im going to be renting a table right now for the june expo, so it can be reserved for the june expo, sound good??

no jesse i wouldnt get the table they would only be a month old , and no one wants month old veilds , they want two and half, to three month olds so if i was you i would wait until the september reptile show if you have one near you cause im not tryin to be mean but other ppl will have three month old chams there and if your there selling chams that are a month old then you dont really look to good you know what i mean , but if you can get a chance to buy another exo terra enclosure the same size as yours do it up so you can split males and females up into each cage then there isnt soo many chams all in one , but yea my females coming into her 6th clutch but that wont be for another 2 and half months so shes not to far behind yours Alan but hope all is goin well Jesse and Alan and good luck jesse your gona need it with those lil buggers

Sure Jesse they still require the same lighting but not the same basking temps .
I personally do not use a basking spot for my baby,s the uvb bulb puts out enough heat to raise the tank,s temps to 80/85 at its hottest which suits them just fine.(expo to early as boothy has said )
Good luck

Ok ill do those temps for my baby chameleons, and yea your right, ill sell the chameleons at the next expo, its a better idea, well where i live i have alot of buyers that want the baby chameleons, and i will be selling them here for $100.00 because its a good price here, and then at the excpo i will be selling them for 70+ but we will see. And yea boothy, ill buy another exo terra to split the males and females up for the expo so they will know, and i will make my own care sheet and hand it out free for whoever i sell it to, just incase so they dont screw up.

you live here in canada to Jesse so if i was you i would get a 50 or 75 watt heat light for them and if you can swing it try and get two exo terra repti glo 5.0 for each cage trust me lighting is very soecial when they are this age , you want lots and lots of uva/uvb for them to grow , i personally used two myself and found that the babies where a lil stronger then others that i seen with just one light so if you can swing it man great if not thats ok one does the job but how many are hatched now jesse lol i cant wait until my eggs hatch another 3 months at the least ahah
