Thanks Boothy, Everyone helping me out and im probally going to be expecting eggs in around 10 more days. Alan i have been seeing your pics of earlier on this forum about your chameleon being gravid and yea she has been showing those exact colours, brown, yellow, green. So once she lays i guess itll probally take half a year to breed eh, well opefully this all goes well, ill keep on updating on how shes doing, thanks for all the luck guys.

Dark Colours?? im really sorry for doing this but i cant help myself!!!if you dont have an idea of what you are doing with your chams with regards to breeding them then why are you still persisting?????i have read many of the threads that you have started and stuck up for you on an occasion.if i was getting the feedback that you are getting i would have followed all of aj’s and dm’s instructions and seperated the chams months ago!!im not an expert but i learn more everyday.i would like to think that i am a responsible animal keeper at the age of 27,and getting my cham has really opened my eyes to the time and attention that they require.i cant understand why you place posts asking for advice to completely disregard it!!!???im really hoping that your female gets safely through this ORDEAL and that this breeding lark isnt about making money!these creatures need to be respected and admired!!unfortunately i feel that your female is gonna end up like a battery hen.just there to lay and lay and lay!!!WHAT A LIFE???!!!

Dark Colours?? Annie what are you talking about im not trying to make money off of breeding them, breeding is something i enjoy. I seperated my chams a loonngg time ago and if u have actually read the posts which i know u said you did but i dont know if you did corectly, i said at the begining that they were seperated. Are you saying everyone who breeds chameleons that has a chameleon that just lays lays and lays that just has a life like that, No. Everyday i do my research of something i do not know and i do alot. I do everything that they think is right but the reason i didnt seperate them all the way before is because someone said that they can breed once they were around 6 months old but now i see that its not alright now can you stop this Anni because i have already have been through this and finally when we have everything put together and i have everything going good you have to make something negative about what happened in the past, just please drop it!!

Dark Colours?? I hear that flordia boy. But still I think you need to have the resources to move your product, in this case chameleons, before you breed them. I am hoping Sarge know hows to sell, How to ship, and how to recieve payments by now but i dont think he does. I had a big breeding group of veileds to start off with. After i recognized how saturated the market was with veileds I got rid of most of them and now i have mostly panthers. But still, you should know how to sell, ship and care for babies before even thinking about breeding them.

Dark Colours?? im trying to put across the point of why do you have to get an animal and breed off it??yes, you may enjoy it but it takes a hell of a lot of work to do things correctly for such fragile creatures.a family member of mine breeds rhodesian ridgebacks(african dogs),they thought it would be a great idea and easy to do.they are now getting approached on a weekly basis being asked to put their stud dog with poopie head of the age of nine months old which is far too young(they should not be bred before the age of two years)and the process of payments, vetting new homes and keeping both pups and mum healthy is taking its toll big time.they have lost two pups in the last litter and have had a pup returned cos the owners didnt like the dog their pup turned into.have you thought about how hard it could be to find homes for the babies?i really want thigs to be good for you jesse but in MY opinion(this does not mean everyones opinion)i would have waited longer and appreciated having a chameleon to watch and enjoy rather than go straight into the breeding process.hope all goes well.

Dark Colours?? Well if they hatch and i have some babies i would like to keep around 6 of their babies and find good homes for the rest, yes what i have heard from you Annie it wil be hard finding new homes for them but i am going to do anything to get them new homes. I can put up signs, newspaper, rent a table at a flea makret, and i can even register for an expo and rent a table from their but probaly not, even some of my local pet stores will buy some, i think if im gunna even strat breeding diffrent reptiles then i might as well make my own website and i can ship reptiles all over but i would have to learn how to first lol but i will find a way. I dont just buy animals and breed them, i enjoy just having them.

Yea if i could i would say to third that because these guys are going to cost me alot but i wouldnt have to worry about food because i have like 400 crix eggs incubating right now. But i think im going to build a cage for al;l of these hatchlings beause my uncle got me some mesh screen and he also has wood so my dad and i are going to make a Huuuugggeee tank, how big do you think i should make this tank in gallons, 200 Gallon??

Dark Colours?? I think your best option would be to sell them all off in a whole sale deal. You will probably only make $5 $10 a head but your feeding cost will be way down and you won’t have to worry about selling them all off. I would suggest not selling them in the paper or at flee markets, especially if you want them to go to good homes. Sell them to the wholesalers and they will distribute them the rest of the way. The people who want chams and can care for them know where to get them. Shipping them is probably alot more then what you want to mess with.
And yes these things will eat you out of house and home , especially when you have 60+ multiply that by say 100 fff a day and very soon after that you will need around 25 pinheads per cham per day.
I suggest reading all the baby care section on chameleonnews.com you want to get a good jump on this early and not be caught unprepared with both supplys and know how. There is no way anyone is going to be able to tell you everything you need to know. Good Luck

Ok Thanks Florida Boy, i really do know how much all of these little guys are going to cost me but hopefully not that much if im starting to breed crickets, i have alot already that will be hatching in a few more days and their cage wont be a problem either because my uncle gave me this huge role of mesh screening so me and my dad are probally going to make a big cage, i already have alot of wood. Now i would want to give away these guys before they reach maybe 6 months of age because i would have to make a cage for every single one so im going to do anything i can to give them proper homes, can anyone tell me all of the ideas i can do for selling them all?? Oh and by the way why cant i ship, it will be a very hard process but cant i do this, shouldnt i just tell them to pay for shipping, what else is with shipping thats hard??

Dark Colours?? you could ship to ppl that are a couple hours away but i wouldnt go any farther, and try asking your local pet shop if they will take any babies of your hands or if they know anyone who will. i already asked 2 different stores and they said yes we will take em and i have like 12 friends who want them so i already know where my babies are going already, if they hatch and hopefully they do

Dark Colours?? There is a shipping forum on Faunaclassifieds.com, go to the forums and go down to shipping. You will find a lot of information. There is a step by step on how to become fedex certified to ship reptiles. You have to be certfied to ship reptiles other wise it is against their TOS and technically illegal. If you are going to get certified then I would suggest jumping on it asap. It is free but you have to have your insulatedboxes so you can package it just the way yopu will when you ship but with out the animal. Shipping is stressful but not an evil monster.
I you cant find info on how to package, let me know and i will fill you in on all the details from shipping one to multiples.

I always use the trash can method with all my gravid females. Have you tried this method?
