Dark Colours?? Hi All.............Serenity, Chaos and thehumans saying Hello and it’s been a long time but we’re glad dark colours is still going!!!! We actually just had our very first egg hatch on Father’s Day!!!! We couldn’t have asked for a better gift....... these eggs were laid Christmas Eve and 7 have made it and the first just hatched. We got to watch the whole thing and EVERYONE was blown away and completely in awe of our new baby! We can’t take our eyes off of her. Now we’re even more nervous than when we got mom and dad, they were about 3 months each and this little miracle is just hours old. I hadno idea they are so active right from the start. She is in a 10 gal glass with a pothos a uvb and a basking light. She had a couple of sips of water (boiled) and the wingless fruit flies are due here tomorrow. I got the smallest crix the local pet store had but I still think they’re to big, so I’m waiting for the flies.
I’ve done a great job with mom and dad they were just at the vet ! I would love some tips on feeding, such as how many and bowl vs free range. I mist boiled water AROUND the cage so as not to drown her with direct spray. Heat , light and humidity all in line with what care sheets recommend. We just can’t wait for the others.
I’m postin pics so please reply with comments and suggestions, thanks and have a great day!!!!

Here is the first baby girl Sunshine

And the next little one just peeking it’s head out now!

Here is daddy Chaos

And moommy Serenity

Dark Colours?? WOW congrats on the new lil hatchlings there gona be a handful sometimes ahaha , but if you dont see the babies using the basking spot yet take it away for about a week or two just to let them rip around because if the basking buld gets to warm it will dehydrate them because they are so tiny but as long as you mist them frequntly they should be fine just i find with the heat bulb more mistings are needed to hydrate these lil fellas and ladies up because of the higher temp but if its cool where they are kept it good to have that basking bulb in there to give them some heat but as for feeding 1/4 quarter sized crickets will be a great size to start out with pinheads are to small and if you ask me have little to no nutrition in them at all but i find the 1/4 quarter size have just enough juice in them to give your baby a nice meal to sit on until the next day , and when i had 40 babies i had to free roam them with that spanish or spagnum moss from exo terra its white or bayge in colour and comes in small medium and large chunks and its great size for your lil babies to grab onto and hide in i find they sleep in it alot and i usaually just dangle the moss into a dixie cup cut in half and pour the 1/4 quarter size crickets into the bottom and the moss is small enough for them to climb up and i find this helps the babies establish where there food comes from and with in weeks they will always be waiting around that cup or in that vine somewhere looking for food because they established thats where it comes from just when does it come ahaha i posted a picture of the one i had in my males cage its just dangled over the vine and down into the dixie cup you will get the idea im sure of it but i hope it helps out and kept them well hydrated and make sure you wait for dry out periods as to not get them all sick with URIs but dont worry so much and they will do fine trust me they look like plump lil buggers and dont be sad if a couple dont make it its just meant to be that they were meant to live thats all i know its sad but it comes with breeding and i hope theres many more happy breeding for you ahahaha
