Dark Colours?? as along as its 9-12 inches deep and 12’’long by 12’’ wide, thats the smallest i would go, cause you want something thats big enough for her to fit in and a bit of extra space for her to pile the dirt up when shes digging, thats why i made my own its 10 inches deep and 12’’ by 12’’ and its works great for me

Alright, i shall keep everyone posted, im still waiting but man look of how this 1 forum got, i was asking about my female with her dark colours, rom seperating the male to female and knowing that shes now going to be laying her eggs now anyday. Im really excited and im ready, i have the incubator all set, now a question, So how moist should the soil be, like i know not too moist for her to actually fall through the soil like a puddle and not too dry that every time she diggs she cant because dirt keeps on falling on where she digs but I have a big laying box now and should i get one of those things that water plants, sorry iforget what its called at the moment but should i have one because i do have a perfect sized one and should i just water the soil lik im watering a plant until it good and moist or should i just have to get a spray bottle and keep on spraying until its moist.

Dark Colours?? congratulations man!!, mine dug right from the afternoon right untill the next mourning , she willl dig a few test holes and then she will pick her spot, you will know when shes done cause she will fill in her tunnel and try to level the dirt out on the top, it wont totally be level but you get my point and then she will be in her plant or vine resting, and after shes done make sure you hydrate her back up , oh and when taking the eggs out of the lay box take most of it out with your hands and then take a small paint brush and just brush away the dirt until you see the eggs then take them out one by one and in the same position as they were layed(like crocodile eggs) put them in the incubator, so wat ever side the eggs are showing keep that side up ok man and if yea get confused message me man ill keep checking up on yea to make sure your doing everything right ok pal

Dark Colours?? Hey thanks alot man, yea she made 1 very large hole and shes doing great, i can only see her tail and her back foot kicking the dirt, but this could take all day so im going to the store later to buy some more vercumlite, more containers and alot of crix because im out, yea i heard if you flip the eggs then they will die, i was careful with my leo eggs and lets just hope that these eggs make it. Yea ill get a brush and get all the dirt off but now i have a question about misting the eggs, well before i put the eggs in the containers i will mist the vercumlite but im just worried about if the vercumlite dries out, i think i have been through this before on this forum but i didnt understand so i want to make sure, So what happens if the vercumlite dries out??

Dark Colours?? i forgot to mist mine a few times and it got a lil dry on me so i just misted it more to put more moisture in the air so the sand a vermiculite soaked up the moisture and i filled the bottom of my incubator with water it took a week or so, but it worked for me and for misting the eggs drill a little hole in each end of your containers that will hold the eggs and just mist the containers with a fine mist and humidity should build up in the containers, or put a lil cup of water in there or fill the bottom of your incubator and it should take moisture from either of them instaed of your containers holding your eggs. but keep me posted man im gona check up on yea through the day
ps dont through out any dented eggs keep them all until they mold

She made 1 big hole from 12:00 to 4:00 and what shes doing is she turned around and you can see her face all dirty, i didnt really see her do testholes but shes just faced turned around and it really looks like she staying in her tunnel laying her eggs how you would see any lizard lay eggs. Right now i just looked at her and shes done laying and shes turned around all relaxed laying in the dirt and possibly laying her eggs.

Thanks Allan, Yea yesterday night at 9:00 she climbed on her branch and rested, i didnt take or look at the eggs last night so i did this morning and for her size now i think she did well but not too much eggs, i would still say it was good enough for her size. She layed 39 eggs and i have them in containers and in vercumlite, they are all nice and white and the incubator is good to go. But now will she have another clutch of eggs in a few more weeks?? How many clutched do they have??

Dark Colours?? Yay, 39 eggs is just about perfect. I hope you will be able to keep future clutch sizes in this range. Congratulations to you both. Feed her and get her to drink until she stops and give her a hypothetical pat on the back from me. I believe in previous posts Jonas mentioned keeping the eggs at slightly varied temperatures at certain periods throughout the incubation and to definitely maintain the night-time temp differential of a 10-15 degree drop. Might be a good idea to go back and review his posts. Alan will know, too. Put up some post-it notes to remind yourself to check the temps and humidity once or twice a week. I’m SO EXCITED for you! Good luck, DM

Dark Colours?? Jesse if you don’t use a lid on the containers it will be most difficult to maintain the humidity level kneaded for the eggs .If the containers are a bit on the high side just put some more holes in the lids or some in the lid off the Styrofoam box
