Wow that does seem close, i am getting there too, so far they have been in the incubator since Augest 22 soo 76 days exactly, in febuary i think they should hatch, i cannot wait but i also think i should be getting ready for my females next clutch of eggs, i heard between 80-100 days after they lay theire first clutch the will lay there next clutch, true?? if so i better get ready, will my female lay fertile eggs, does she still have the males sperm in her??

Well Jesse long time since i have had time to brows on hear .
In answer to your question regarding the retention of sperm, it is possible for her to do this. If you feel that you can handle another clutch and want to make sure they are fertile then go ahead and let them mate again (just to make sure ) if not just let her lay them, when she does . You should be able to tell if they are good or not .Watch out for the change in color and girth of her behind which are a sure indication she is going to lay more Good luck

Hmm so try again eh, well would that harm her in any way if they mate?? she should be laying next week again i should think and if i let her mate with my male before she lays would that fertalize the eggs in her already and then she will lay her eggs next week all fertalized, is that how it works??

The only way to really tell is let her see the male as you now she will let you know weather she kneads to be mated or not . It certainly wont harm the eggs she is carrying at the moment .

So then thats it, i will put them together tomorow, watch if they mate and then seperate them, i am feeding my female everyday now and giving her a silkworm every day so she lays a nice big healthy clutch. Oh and thats good to hear boothy, soon they should hatch like mine, i am expecting a bigger clutch from her now and i have a question again that i dont know if you guys answered, so if i put my male with my female and they mate will that mean the eggs she is already carrying will be fertalized??

well after mating it will take her 20 to 30 days sometimes more to lay them, so in that 20 -30 days im guessing the eggs are geting fertilized but i would ask jonas or alan they are experts on veileds

Jesse
Sorry to tell you this mate but know one can answer that question probably not even your female knows that as this is there main function in life to reproduce infertile or not .
My advice is to incubate them anyway and see how things go .If they turn bad then you have lost nothing
Putting your female with the male will not do her any harm unless she rejects him if she is to far on in her pregnancy she will let you know as i have posted

Okkkaaaaayyyyy, Lmao, so it didnt work out that well, not at all. I put them together and when i introduced my male with my female and i was looking at my male the entire time and before my female was nice and green, a few seconds later afer i looked at her she was soo dark it want even funny. she was brown everywhere (no green at all) and had orange and she started moving her body up and down plus hissing and my male was scared as hell from her. Usually when i try to pick him up or something he will hiss and try to bite but he had his eye on her the entire time all the way in the corner scared shitless and didnt even bother to care about my hand after i started to pet him, he was very scared ansd she was very mad so i seperated them right away. Ya know i think my female just plain hates my male. They bred because the male didnt show his colours but he just went up to her and he mated with her while she was still rejecting her, they did it because the male just bred long enough to try and i guess she layed eggs and i bet she still has more sperm in her for a good clutch of eggs so im just gunna wait a week or 2 to see if they are good or not be candling them.

hey jesse i would leave the egg until it starts to mold cause then its obviuosly not fertile, thats wat i did and everything went ok just try not to mist the eggs to much or they will mold because its to wet they just need to be moist

OMFG DUDE, Ok i wanted to show my friends how pissed off my female would be if i put my male and female together and what i expected is for the female to become dark, but what actually happened was the female started following the male and the male thought that she was gunna attack him but she wasnt so the male turned around and slowly he started mating so my friends and i left the room and i put some Bob Marley music on my radio, dimmed the lights and left, lol i actually did this and they were done in a couple of hours and then i seperated them.

OMG This post will go down in the record books for sure. LOL . My female veiled Serenity is gravid with her first clutch of eggs, we know they’re infertile because she hasn’t been mated, but the anticipation is still a killer! I took her to the vet and had an x ray done. She is definately full of eggs, but they haven;t calcified yet. We are keeping a close eye on her she is absolutely HUGE! more like a little green pumpkin than a cham! We just got a male also but no intentions of mating them yet anyway, let’s see how this first lay goes. What do we do with the eggs after she lays them? We’re concened about her getting egg bound as she has not done any digging or exploring of the laying boxes. The vet said she could give her a shot to induce her but we’re hoping not to have to do that. We should have the camera set up tomorrow so I’ll be able to show off my fatty girl. Congrats on your success and good luck with all the little ones you’re going to have!!!!! I’m still amazed how much joy they bring me everyday and I love reading what everyone has to share so keep ’em coming all!!!!!!!
Here’s a pic of Serenity smiling!
