Oh, I got to hold a Kenyan Sand Boa.....(Critter of the month) This was the first time I ever saw one in person.....really nice, and the owner said she was HUGE for a female. I always knew Kenyans were smaller than a regular boa, but it was alot smaller than I expected.....He brought in a Rosey Boa too, I think that one was a baby, though, because it was really small.

I don’t know why I keep this vigil going....no one ever comes to this forum!

Friday’s meeting.... A fellow MHS member was the speaker. He was great. He has done alot of work with the DNR, and different Universities in different states, studying & tracking all kinds of herps. He also has a website with pics and descriptions of all the MN herps out there. His presentaion was basically a video compilation of the field work he has done over the last 15 years or so. Very educational, and quite comical at some parts.

There were some great animals up for adoption, two balls, a boa, a bull snake, some leos, several turtles, and several monitors, one of which was the most beautiful nile I have ever seen.

I won another huge cage..... Dale said I am going to have to quit spending my money on raffle tickets, and start saving for an addition on the house.... lol

Cage cleaning on Sat. went well....it seems I learn something new everytime I am there.... One of the igs up for adoption (there are ALWAYS igs up for adoption) had these huge waxy things that were clogging the femoral pores. I saw what they looked like, and that HAD to hurt that poor ig having them in there so long.

Ok, here we go again....

Last Friday’s meeting....
If you subscribe to REPTILES magazine you may remember an article called "Herping the Holyland" by Dav Kaufman back in April. (hope I spelled that right, and there should be a line over the "a", but I do not know how to do that)
Anyway, he was the speaker. Very nice looking too, I might add.
Pretty good presentation, with a humorous approach.

The adoption chair is on vacation, so the only adoption was a Sulcata.
I won four RenFest tickets.....Yes, it is that time of year again.

The time of year where I want to go to the cities every weekend for seven straight weekends, and volunteer at RenFest. The time of year where each one of these trips will spark a huge fight with my b/f.

I guess we will see what will become of this.... Will he compromise? Will I? Will this be the end of an eight year relationship?

Well I went to renfest the last two weekends, but I am staying home this weekend. Got some other stuff going on. Don’t know what will happen next weekend, and the price of gas is only adding to the difficulty of making the trip.

Well, Friday’s election is only two days away. I am quite excited.

Dale & I are still technically "broke up", but we are still "seeing each other"..... Things couldn’t be better. It is weird, because we live in the same house, so I get all of the advantages of us being together, but I do not tolerate any control issues, so I can do what I want as far as the MHS goes, and he doesn’t dare say a word, because he knows I’ll be out of that house in a heartbeat if he does.

I have my foster, I am running for board, and he is actually being extra nice to me!!
I can live like this.

What a coincedence!!! I stopped coming to RepticZone a long time ago, because my computer at home was bad, so I was only coming here at work, until I almost got fired for it, so I stopped all together. I just recently bought a new computer, and just started coming here again like 3 weeks ago!!!!

The meetings are usually the first Friday of the month unless it conflicts with a holiday (like Easter did)
so the next one should be May 4th. They are held at the ST. Paul Campus U of M. They start at 7:00 pm.
