she was my first crested gecko, i had been doing some research on them for a couple of months and then when i saw her at petco i just knew there was something horribly wrong with her and had to get her out of there. here are some pictures of her.

i found her at one of the last reptile shows in streamwood IL. the guy was clueless as to how to take care of them. he was selling her a male(who was in good condition) and a screen cage for the best offer. she was more than likely no more than 10 months old and in with an adult male. he had them in a screen cage in the sunlight on a 90+ degree day. im just glad i decided to stop and take a good look one last time before i left cuz i know she wouldnt have made it through the rest of the show if i didnt. and at least she had a good last 6 months with someone who cared. its kinda funny cuz at the time, of course, i was so shocked that he would even try selling a gecko in that condition i couldnt think of anything to say other than ill take her just to get her outta there, and now that ive had plenty of time to think about it i have sooooo many things id say and go off on him about.. but ive never seen him around at any other shows after that but yeah when i had her and she was feeling better she didnt think anything was wrong with her and even though she couldnt lift her body off the ground or anything she would still try to run and jump around. and even twords the end she was able to climb the side of her container a little bit. she was one of the best geckos i had/have |

yeah, i got my girl from petco (the vet actually told me that if i wanted to put her to sleep that i shouldn’t feel bad about it, but when i told him i wanted to at least try, he helped me out a lot!), and even though everyone talks really badly about them, i have three others who are very healthy and beautiful... she was probably in bad shape when she got there and then just not given the best treatment which made it worse... my friends and i have had a few bad experiences with breeders as well... how some people can treat these animals the way that they do makes me sick sometimes! i just can’t believe it, and you know, or hope, that they wouldn’t treat a dog or a cat like that! i don’t know, some probably would... |

Just for fun...
This one is one I’m unsure of the morph on any help would be great, I’m kind of stumped. She is kind of a buckskin but her dorsal and blushing traits are why I get her. Her dorsal looks like she has a braid running down her back to me. Her name is Sakura.

i will be putting more pictures on the website soon, just took some pics of my other cages. look at what i found! each container is almost six gallons, and there are ten sections, so i am going to knock out the middle, and turn two of them into 24 gallons, and then have one of them be a 12 gallon for hatchlings... i am soooo excited!!!!!! lol now all i have to do is figure out what to cut plexi glass with... anyways here it is, it was a display case for fossil and they were throwing it away!!!!

K so I did a few pictures of a few of my babies tonight. I was messing around with the program and did the white background thing...not sure if I like it. What do you think? Should I keep it or change it back? This one is a red harly or red flame. He is over 5 months old so his color wont be changing at all but I have seen harlys turn out to be flames over time....
This is Leo a bit bigger than the last one.
Gotta go... BTW, what do you still need pictures of...oh and I noticed the pictures of the "fired up and not fired up" are a little messed up on your page? Is it because they were such a big file, do you want me to size them down a little for you? Sarah |

guido, that would be great! lol, and thank you for signing my guest book! Sarah, i know that the air thing is going to be an issue, i am planning on drilling holes throughout the the sides, and maybe putting a little section of screen in each door to help with air flow (and it will make it easy to spray!). it will be alot of work and testing before it is ready, but i am not planning on putting anyone in there until mid-late july anyways because i am going to be moving, and it would just be dumb to set it all up with plants and everything only to break it all down again in the next couple of months... but as far as the light goes, i was thinking i would use an over head light to do the day and night cycles or put it in a room that gets some good sunlight, and just getting "indoor" plants that do well in shade. i already have to do this with my male, and the plants all do great, and to be honest he seems to be growing alot more and faster than my other guys... as far as picks go, really i still need anything that you would be willing to throw my way. i need patternless, bi-color (i have a red bi-color but i can’t catch it on the camera) major dalmations, "blues", "greens"... prety much anything lol |

yeah you can use the picture of the worms. here ill post it again. here it is.
and here are 2 links to pictures of the new gecko im getting. dont use any of these pictures. they arent mine to let you use. but ill get my own pics of him once he comes. Link Link oh and here are some really good ones of zazu that show his 2 extremes between not fired up at all and really fired up and one pic in the middle. not fired up at all:

the color may be off a little in the first 2 because the wall that you can see a bit of on the right side is blue. i think there is a little too much yellow in the picture. so you see what i mean here is another picture that you can see the same bit of wall as in the 2 close ups. this one has better color. maybe if we altered the close up pics by changing how much yellow is in them (can you do that?) untill the wall turns the right color blue it would be a better comparison. or you can just use them how they are.(if your looking for him, he is near the top right corner hanging on the wall)
and here is 1 picture of a rubbermade bin that will be where the new gecko will live. it is completed yet and ill take more pics of it to show how i did it later. but here is the one pic i have of it so far.

anyways, i just tried to get the pic to correct the blue wall, and it wasn’t working out too well, i will try and work on it some more tomorrow on a different program though before i leave, and if i don’t post the results tomorrow evening, i will post them on Monday evening and ask you if you think it is any better. thank you guys for so much help, i’m sorry it has been taking me longer to reply this week, things have just been crazy around here, and i thought i would have a little time to relax since school let out, but it is more like i hit the ground running because i have so many other things that i still have to do concerning school and living arrangements and such i feel even more burnt out now than when i was cramming for my finals!  but hopefully the beach will help clear my mind a little this week end... lol, it better, it’s a 5 hour drive and gas isn’t cheap! |
