I like gilas more ,because they aren’t that big but if you came somehow train one it will be a good guard lizard ,and a gila would win against a dragon
and there more bright colored

 Beaded dragon vs. gila monster

Ok. A few bits of information for you. I breed and own many reptiles. Including venemoids, venomous, and everything in between. I have a pair of Beaded LIZARDS (NOT DRAGONS) and a trio of Gilas. There is NO WAY to de-venomize a beaded or gila. Unlike a snake, there is no venom gland, making it impossible to de-venomize. Certain areas require permits for owning such animals, they are protected if wild caught and you can get a hefty fine for taking one (in other words, dont take one). If wanting to own one, check your local and state laws as to permit requirements.

The beaded is less colorful, and a little slower, but still has a painful bite.
The gila, which is much more pretty, is quicker moving and a little more quick to give a bite. My females can get quite moody.

I do recommend researching any animal before purchasing to ensure you are able to properly care for it. I DO NOT recommend a Beaded or Gila for an in-experienced reptile keeper.

And for those of you who have problems with venomoids, thats your opinion, don’t push it onto everyone else. If the surgery is done correctly then you will have no problems. I have a 3yr old Albino Monocle and he eats F/T rats every week, sheds normally, and has no problems. They DO NOT die a slow painful death.
