when i put mine in the freezer it makes all the greens turn really dark so i stoped doing it does that mean they went bad?

Hey Sleejay,

Don’t freeze the greens as you see they do not freeze well. I personally do not like freezing any food at all since freezing as I know it , leeches out alot of nutrients but if you have a lot of mouths to feed and are pressed for time then you can surely freeze the salad ingredients minus the leafy greens for a short amount of time.Just add in the greens after you thaw out that portion of food for the serving.

I stick collard greens mustard greens mangos bits of whole wheat bread chop it all up and he loves it he’ll eat on big bowl of it sometimes i put green beans and strawberries on it. My mom hates it she says that fruit is too expensive but i only give him 2 or 3 pieces. He is a pig he looks ok before he eats and he looks like a balloon afterwards.

Ooh That all sounds great! I think I’ve got all that minus the alfalfa in Bird’s diet. He likes the collards and the bean sprouts the best. Practically bit my hand off this morning trying to get to the collard leaf! He sometimes likes the mango and the rose petals... --I’m still hand feeding him for the time being until he gets used to eating again. Tonight I fed him a couple pieces while he was still in his tank and over by his food dish--hoping that he’ll get the idea that the food is there when he wants it, rather than when I can end the stand off with our three children dancing the lord of the flies around us and pull him out and feed him....AH! (speaking of kids that should be in bed...) haha. Cross your fingers! (That Bird eats on his own and that the kids stay in bed!! hahahaha)
