I think those are really cool bugs, actually. We call them Mosquito Hawks! The one thing that freaks me out....hands down....is MAGGOTS!!!!! I know they’re just fly larvae, but they are the nastiest things ever. I would rather be locked in a room full of spiders or crickets (which I despise) than have to be anywhere near a maggot. I’m getting all goose-bumpy just thinking of them...EEEWWW |

I xcan deal with maggots if theres only a few of them on a dead mouse or some other small creature, but a hunch of them look like rice moving around. Yeah, they are icky little things. I do think crane flies are cool, but just...ick. Haha, it’s because I have a fear of mosquitos, and they look like huge mosquitos that will suck out all my blood. I can watch them from a distance, but NEVER up close. I will freak out and scream at the top of my lungs. And they way they fly is so random and disoriented...yaaaaa! Camel crickets (or cave crickets) creep me out as well. I can’t stand their legs. They’re too long and springy, they jump too far, and they’re just wierd little things that hop around on oversized legs! But I have no problem with your regular old every day crickets. They’re all over my basement, so I’ve learned to deal with them. But I hate stepping on them by accident because 1) I get guts all over my foot. 2)I can’t stand to kill an animal. Bugs...greate, aren’t they? lol! -Leira |
