 Green Burm x Blood?

Good post El and Danny, as for 317_boa you should familiarize yourself with the people of the forum before going on your newbie bashing spree. You’re animals look healthy and beautiful D, burms are not meant to be small so if you’re going to hold back on their feeding maybe you shouldn’t have them in the first place. What do you keep as far as burms go anyway 317_boa? If you can’t offer any helpful advice on the subject at hand, why not just go somewhere else with your all knowing bad self? To address Jmvakero, you say in your post that you’re looking for suggestions and reactions, you also post that you keep a long list of herps. You should probably read a burmese python care sheet before attempting to breed them, true you are not breeding burmxburm so who knows maybe the burm can be lighter in weight for the fact that you are mating it with a smaller species of python. But what if that’s not the case, a burmese python hits maturity around 18-24 mos. of age and should be at least 30 lbs. to breed. You missed that mark by quite a bit, that is not only ignorant but also neglect for not giving it proper care and diet. Just my .02

317_boa is just a troll, and has been causing trouble and drama all over RZ, most recently I have seen is the BP forum.

Dont mind him! Please any newbies, do not take this poster’s advice as it is incorrect, uneducated, and arrogant.

Read throught the forums, you can quickly see who the great teachers are around here. Nice snakes btw.

yeah you think if you own that much of morphs, you would definitely know better, That burm is way to small to even be housed with a male ball. Trust me you will not get a successful clutch out of that burm with the size she is have you even sexed her to even make sure shes a female? i just call that ignorance. Learn more about your science, because it looks like your obviously failing on the subject that is just common sense.

It will be a long shot if that female takes. Its not age that is a factor in breeding. Development that comes along with size plays as big a part as well.

There may be some true hopes and good intentions with this breeding. But it also appears to also have been possilby posted for attention and shock value. Honestly someone who didn’t think before hand that at least someone would have a problem with a burm of that age being that diminutive in size isn’t thinking openly to begin with.

Typo- It’s not ’only’ age that is a factor in breeding.

I have a male burm that is only 6 or 7ft i rescued him the people that had him said they had him for 3 yours. He told me that he was a year old when they got him. They had a 15ft burm in the cage with him so id say it ate all the food they gave it. Its a really good tempered snake and beaituful. I going to get some female ball pythons and see what i can do.

Jmvakero should not be able to own a burm that is 4.7 feet at 3 years old. It will probably not even take to breeding because of the size. That is just downright wrong and he should have his animals taken out of his care. Damn both of my burms are not even 2 years old and my female is almost 3.5 X bigger then his burm and my male burmese is almost 3x bigger. Come on, I would not be posting this but this guy should learn to take care of his animals, just because a ball python might go off of feed does not mean a burmese should unless you are going to breed the animal when it’s body is right where it should be. Damn some people just need to be banned from owning any animal in my opinion and Jmvakero should be at the top of the list.

Well I’m doing this

the burmese is a female 3.5 years old and only 4.7 ft

The ball is a male 5 years old and 4.5 ft

The hybrid snake wouldn’t be called a Burmball because you always depict the male species first.
For example:

male Burmese Python x female Ball Python = Burmball
Looking like a huge looking ball python

male Ball Python x female Burmese Python = Ballmese/Ballburmese/Ball Burmese
[Something along that line] which should look more like a Burmese python with ball python pattern and probably smaller size.
